Start with a small story you can inspect
A single video clip and a multi-shot film are different jobs. For a first film, describe one character, one setting and a simple beginning, change and ending. For example: a small delivery robot reaches a closed shop, finds the owner around the corner, and delivers the parcel. This is a suggested storyboard idea, not a promise of a particular generated result.

What is an AI short film generator?
An AI short film generator turns a written idea into a sequence of AI-generated shots assembled into one continuous film. Instead of prompting a single 5-second clip, you describe the whole story once and the tool handles the shot breakdown, generation and final cut.
In Viralance, the Film Studio flow is:
- Describe your film — a one-line idea (e.g. "a tiny astronaut explores a glowing alien jungle") or a full shot-by-shot scenario, up to 2,000 characters.
- Choose the settings — model, format (9:16, 16:9 or 1:1), number of shots and seconds per shot. The panel shows the runtime and total credits before you start.
- The AI director storyboards it — it splits your idea into shots (establishing, medium, close-up and so on), each with its own prompt and camera direction. This step is free.

A note on pacing: start with the shortest version that tells your story. Short shots with more cuts usually hold attention better than a few long takes, and they are cheaper to redo.
How does it keep the same character in every shot?
Continuity is the hardest part of an AI short film: without help, each shot can render a different-looking character. Film Studio's storyboard step picks a short list of anchor descriptors — for a person: age, hair, eye color, a distinctive feature and wardrobe (for example "a tiny astronaut in a white suit with orange stripes") — and appends them to every shot prompt, along with a shared style description.
That guides the model but does not guarantee identical faces, clothing or geometry. Watch each completed shot before you assemble. Film Studio currently offers a retry for failed shots, not a one-click swap of a completed shot, so if continuity breaks badly, adjust the idea (be more specific about the character) and start a new, shorter film.
