How AI Dubbing works
- 01
Pick or upload a video
Choose a finished video from your library or upload one (MP4, MOV, WebM or M4V, up to 200 MB). Videos can be up to 5 minutes, or 2 minutes with lip sync.
- 02
Choose the language
The spoken language is detected automatically. Pick one of 28 target languages, from Spanish and Hindi to Japanese and Turkish.
- 03
Audio only or match the lips
Audio only replaces the speech with the translated voice. Match lips also re-times the mouth movement to the new audio, for 1 credit per second (minimum 10) on top.
- 04
Download the dubbed video
Dubbing usually takes a few minutes. The finished video appears in the Audio Suite and in My Videos.
Why creators use it
- Translates and dubs in one step: no script export, no voice actors, no re-editing.
- Keeps the speaker's own voice in the new language, powered by ElevenLabs dubbing.
- Optional lip sync so mouths match the translated words (videos up to 2 minutes).
- Clear pricing: 10 credits per started minute of video. A 1-minute clip with lip sync is 70 credits. Charged only once the job starts, refunded automatically if it fails.
- Works on videos you made in Viralance and on your own uploads.
- One-time credit packs with no subscription; credits never expire.
Use cases
- Publish one YouTube video or Short in several languages without re-recording.
- Localize product ads and UGC-style videos for new markets.
- Dub course lessons, tutorials and webinars for international audiences.
- Translate an AI influencer or AI Actor video so the same character speaks to each market.
Frequently asked questions
What is AI dubbing?
AI dubbing replaces the speech in a video with a translation in another language. On Viralance the speech is detected, translated and voiced in the original speaker's voice, and the lips can be re-timed to match.
Which languages can I dub into?
28 languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Turkish, Russian, Ukrainian, Arabic, Hindi, Tamil, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Indonesian, Malay, Swedish, Danish, Finnish, Greek, Czech, Slovak, Romanian, Bulgarian, Croatian. The source language is detected automatically.
How much does AI dubbing cost?
10 credits per started minute of video, so a 3-minute video is 30 credits. Lip sync adds 1 credit per second (minimum 10). The cost shows before you start, and failed jobs are refunded automatically.
Does the dub keep the original voice?
Yes. The translated speech is generated in a voice modelled on the person speaking in the video, so the dub sounds like them in the new language.
How long can the video be?
Up to 5 minutes for audio-only dubbing and up to 2 minutes with lip sync. Uploads can be up to 200 MB.
What is the difference between AI dubbing and lip sync?
Dubbing translates the speech for you. Lip sync (in the video editor) takes audio you already have, such as a recorded voiceover, and matches the lips to it. Dubbing with Match lips does both in one job.
Can I dub any video?
Only videos where you have permission from the people speaking. You confirm this before every job, and videos of public figures are not permitted.
