AI Short Film Generator: Turn One Idea Into a Full Short Film
Describe a story in one sentence and Film Studio breaks it into shots, generates each with AI, keeps your character consistent across every cut, and stitches them into one finished short film — you choose the length.

How AI Short Film Generator works
- 01
Describe your film in one line
Type a single idea, like 'a lonely lighthouse keeper discovers a glowing sea creature during a storm.' Film Studio's AI director turns it into a shot-by-shot storyboard for free before you spend a credit.
- 02
Pick your model and length
Choose a model (VEO 3.1 Lite, VEO 3.1 Fast, Seedance 2.0, Seedance 2.5), how many shots (4 to 12) and how long each shot runs. VEO 3.1 shots run 4, 6 or 8 seconds (a 16–96 second film); Seedance models allow longer shots. A live estimate shows the runtime and credit cost before you commit.
- 03
Generate every shot with consistent characters
Each shot is generated at 720p with the model you chose, and shared 'anchor tokens' keep your character, product, and palette consistent from cut to cut so it reads as one film, not random clips.
- 04
Auto-assemble and download
When the shots are ready, Film Studio stitches them into one continuous short film, saves it to your library, and gives you a download you can upload to TikTok, Reels, or YouTube Shorts.
Why creators use it
- Goes from one sentence to a finished multi-shot short film, not a single isolated clip
- You control the length — pick the model, 4 to 12 shots and the seconds per shot
- Credits scale with runtime, so a longer film costs proportionally more and you see the estimate before you generate
- Keeps the same character and style across shots using repeated anchor tokens for visual continuity
- Free storyboarding step lets you see the whole shot list before any credit is spent
- One-click assembly stitches the shots into a single film with no video editor required
Use cases
- A creator types a one-line story idea and gets a 30-second cinematic short film for TikTok without filming anything
- A brand turns a product narrative into a consistent multi-shot ad film with the same character throughout
- A musician generates a short visual film to pair with a track, choosing the runtime to match the clip
- A hobbyist experiments with sci-fi and fantasy story ideas and downloads finished short films
Frequently asked questions
What is the AI Short Film Generator?
It is Viralance's Film Studio: you describe a story in one sentence, and it storyboards the shots, generates each one with AI, keeps your character consistent across cuts, and assembles them into one finished short film. It turns a single idea into a complete multi-shot film instead of one clip.
How long can the film be?
You choose. Set the number of shots (4 to 12) and the seconds per shot. With VEO 3.1 (4, 6 or 8 seconds per shot) a film runs from about 16 seconds to about 96 seconds; Seedance 2.0 and 2.5 offer longer shots for longer films. A live estimate shows the total runtime and credit cost as you adjust the settings.
How are credits calculated for a film?
Credits scale with runtime. Each shot costs what a normal 720p clip of that length costs on the chosen model — on the default VEO 3.1 Fast that is 6 credits for 4 seconds, 8 for 6 and 12 for 8 — plus 5 credits to assemble the final film. A 6-shot, 4-second film on VEO 3.1 Fast is 41 credits, and the app shows the exact total before you generate.
How does it keep the character the same in every shot?
The AI director extracts 'anchor tokens' — concise, repeatable descriptors of your main character, product, and color palette — and appends them to every shot prompt. Repeating those anchors across shots keeps the subject looking consistent from one cut to the next, though small variations can still occur.
Do I need video editing skills to assemble the film?
No. Once every shot finishes generating, Film Studio stitches them together automatically into a single continuous film. There is no timeline to edit and no separate software; you just download the finished short film.
Is the storyboard free?
Yes. Turning your idea into a shot list is free, so you can review the full storyboard first. You only spend credits when the shots actually generate and when the final film is assembled.
