Kling 3.0 Standard vs Pro: Which Should You Use? (2026)

By Viralance Team
·June 20, 2026·Updated October 26, 2026·6 min·AI Models
TL;DR: On Viralance, Kling 3.0 Standard costs 8, 14 or 22 credits and Kling 3.0 Pro costs 10, 18 or 28 credits for 5, 10 or 15-second clips. Both output 1080p with native audio in text-to-video and image-to-video; Pro adds reference-to-video. Use Standard for drafts and volume, and Pro for the shots you will actually publish or when you need reference images.

The short answer: Kling 3.0 Standard and Pro make the same 1080p, 5–15 second clips with native audio; Pro costs 2–6 credits more per clip and is the only tier with reference-to-video. Kuaishou launched the Kling 3.0 series in February 2026, describing native audio across several languages and multi-shot storytelling (Kuaishou announcement). This guide covers the difference between the two tiers as they work in Viralance's editor, checked October 26, 2026.

Reference-to-videoNoYes, up to 4 images

Pro costs 25–29% more per clip. The quality difference is Kuaishou's tiering, not something we have benchmarked; the practical way to decide is to run the same brief on both.

What a clip costs in dollars

Using the Mini pack ($9 for 30 credits, $0.30 per credit) and the Business pack ($299 for 1,650 credits, about $0.18 per credit):

ClipCreditsMiniBusiness
Standard, 5s8$2.40$1.45
Pro, 5s10$3.00$1.81
Standard, 15s22$6.60$3.99
Pro, 15s28$8.40$5.07

A Starter pack (110 credits, $29) covers 13 five-second Standard clips or 11 five-second Pro clips, before any bonus.

When to use each

  • Testing ad hooks: generate several on Standard, then re-run the winning prompt on Pro. Expect the re-run to differ; it is a new generation, not an upscale.
  • Daily social content at volume: Standard.
  • Hero shots and final ads: Pro, if the side-by-side test shows a difference you care about.
  • Keeping a product or character consistent: Pro, using reference-to-video.
  • Animating a product photo: either tier; image-to-video costs the same as text-to-video.

How to generate with Kling 3.0

  1. Open the video editor and pick Kling 3.0 Standard or Kling 3.0 Pro.
  2. Choose text-to-video, image-to-video or (Pro only) reference-to-video.
  3. Choose 5, 10 or 15 seconds and, for text-to-video, an aspect ratio (9:16, 16:9 or 1:1). Image-to-video follows the shape of your photo.
  4. Check the credit cost shown on the button, then generate. Audio is generated with the video unless you switch it off.

When another model fits better

  • Clips cheaper than 8 credits: MiniMax H3 Max Turbo (from 2 credits, 5–15 seconds, with audio), VEO 3.1 Lite (from 3 credits, 4–8 seconds) or Hailuo 2.3 (from 3 credits for image-to-video, 6 or 10 seconds).
  • Single takes longer than 15 seconds: Seedance 2.5 (up to 30 seconds).
  • The premium Kling option on Viralance: Kling O3 Pro (9, 18 or 27 credits for 5, 10 or 15 seconds).

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between Kling 3.0 Standard and Pro on Viralance? Price and one feature: Standard is 8/14/22 credits and Pro is 10/18/28 credits for 5/10/15 seconds, and only Pro offers reference-to-video. Both output 1080p with native audio.

Does Kling 3.0 generate audio? Yes, both tiers generate native audio. You can switch it off in the editor.

Can Kling 3.0 do image-to-video? Yes, on both tiers, at the same credit cost as text-to-video.

Can I try Kling 3.0 for free? New accounts get 4 free credits after email verification. Kling 3.0 Standard is open to free accounts, but its 8-credit minimum is more than the free balance; Kling 3.0 Pro unlocks after your first pack. The $9 Mini pack (30 credits) covers three 5-second Standard clips.

Which is better for ads? Test on Standard, then render the concept you choose on Pro if the comparison justifies the extra 2–6 credits.
