Black Friday product video ads with AI: make them from one photo before November 27, 2026
Upload one product photo; the template runs on Kling 3.0 Standard for 8 credits, and the price is shown before you generate.
Try the Black Friday Drop templateThis guide is only about the holiday sale window: dates, a working timeline, which formats fit a discount, hook lines, prompts and the mistakes that cost the most when the clock is running. For the general one-photo workflow, see the product video shot list; for store-specific advice, the Shopify product video guide.
Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2026 dates
| Day | Date | What to have live |
|---|---|---|
| Thanksgiving | Thursday, November 26 | Early-access or "sale starts tomorrow" teaser |
| Black Friday | Friday, November 27 | Main offer ads |
| Small Business Saturday | Saturday, November 28 | Local and shop-small angle |
| Cyber Monday | Monday, November 30 | Last-chance or online-only offer |
| After the sale | Tuesday, December 1 | Swap sale ads for gift and shipping-deadline ads |
Many shops start "Black November" or early-access offers in the first weeks of the month. If you do, the timeline below moves forward by the same amount.
A five-week timeline that works backwards from November 27
Week of October 26: decide offers and products. Pick the 3–5 products you will push, the exact offer for each (percentage, price, bundle or gift with purchase) and the end date. Write it down once; every ad, caption and landing page copies from this list.
Week of November 2: photos and first drafts. Gather one sharp photo per product (see the photo checklist below). Generate one cheap draft per product to check the photo works with the model before you spend on finals.
Week of November 9: make the real set. Two or three formats per product, 9:16 first. Add the offer text and price in your editor. Keep every version's file name tied to the hook it uses so you can read results later.
Week of November 16: upload and test. Both TikTok and Meta review ads before they run, and holiday weeks are busy for everyone, so don't plan on uploading on the day. Uploading by about November 20 leaves time to fix a rejected ad, and a few days of spend shows which hooks earn clicks.
November 23–30: run, then switch. Teasers early in the week, main offer from Black Friday morning, a last-chance cut for Cyber Monday. On December 1, pause the sale creative so nobody clicks into an expired offer.
Start with the photo, not the prompt
In image-to-video the photo becomes the first frame, and the model predicts everything after it. A good photo does more for the final ad than any prompt:
- One product, filling most of the frame, on a plain or simple surface.
- Sharp label and edges. Models tend to blur or rewrite small print, so a crisp, front-facing label survives best (keeping product labels readable).
- Vertical if you can. In image-to-video the clip takes the shape of the photo, so a 9:16 or 4:5 product photo becomes a vertical ad without cropping. A wide photo can be extended with Expand on Edit Image (3 credits); check that the added background suits the product (outpaint guide).
- No price or discount text baked into the photo. You will add it later, as real text, where it stays readable.
Save products you'll reuse under My Products so the same photo goes into every format.
Five Black Friday ad formats you can make from one photo
1. The sale drop
The product lands in frame with a burst of confetti and red light, a clear "deal is live" signal. Viralance's Black Friday Drop template does this from one product photo on Kling 3.0 Standard (5 seconds, with sound, 8 credits). Add the offer as text over the last two seconds.
2. The price-tag pop
Sale tags and percent badges bounce around the product on a bright backdrop. The Price Drop Pop template on Templates runs on Hailuo 2.3 (6 seconds, 3 credits, no sound). The tags it draws are decoration: never rely on them for the actual number, because generated text is often wrong.
3. The gift reveal
Wrapping paper tears away to reveal the product under string lights: the "this is a gift" angle that keeps working into December. The Gift Box Reveal template runs on VEO 3.1 Lite (8 seconds, with sound, 5 credits).
4. The unboxing
A box opens and the product rises into view. Unboxing Reveal suits products that ship in branded packaging, also on VEO 3.1 Lite for 5 credits.
5. The talking hook
A person says the offer to camera: "This is the only Black Friday deal I'm actually buying." Use the UGC Ad Studio for this; a 6-second VEO 3.1 Fast take from text is 8 credits and a 5-second Seedance 2.0 take is 12. A generated person is not a customer, so the line should be about the offer, not a fake personal review (see the rules below). For scripted talking ads with a fixed presenter, AI Actors lip-syncs a script you write.
All templates are listed on the ad templates page with a real sample output for each.
Hooks that fit a sale
TikTok's own creative guidance is to introduce the proposition in the first 3 seconds (TikTok creative best practices). For a sale, the proposition is the offer. Six openers that work as both spoken lines and on-screen text:
- Offer first: "30% off [product], this weekend only."
- Price anchor: "It's usually $[regular price]. Until Monday it's $[sale price]."
- Gift angle: "The gift for the person who's impossible to buy for."
- Bundle: "Buy the set, get the travel size free."
- Countdown: "Black Friday ends Monday at midnight."
- Problem first: "If your [problem] gets worse in winter, this is on sale now."
Write the number exactly as it appears at checkout. Then test two or three of these per product instead of one polished ad; the UGC hook guide shows a clean three-hook test.
Need many versions fast? Ad Multiplier combines up to 10 hooks with up to 10 visual variants and 9:16, 1:1 and 16:9 formats into a batch of up to 30 ads, with one price shown before you pay, 10% off at 10 ads and 15% off at 25, and refunds for any ad that fails.
Prompts for a custom sale clip
If you prefer the regular image-to-video editor, describe the motion and the mood, and say what must not change:
Festive push-in:
Slow push-in on the product on a dark surface, warm gold bokeh lights twinkling in the background, a few red and gold confetti pieces drift down. Keep the product's shape, colors and label exactly as shown. No text.
Snowy window display:
The product sits in a shop window at night, light snow falling outside the glass, warm interior light, slow sideways camera move. Keep the product unchanged. No people, no text.
Fast energy cut-in:
The product spins once and stops facing the camera, a burst of red light pulses behind it, quick camera shake then settle. Keep the label sharp and unchanged. No text.
Ending each prompt with "No text" keeps the model from inventing prices and sale banners you would have to cover up.
Add the offer yourself
Viralance produces one clip per generation and has no timeline or text editor. Download the clips from My Videos and put the offer on screen in TikTok's editor, Instagram's editor or any editor such as CapCut:
- Offer and end date in large text, inside the platform's safe area (away from the bottom caption and the right-side buttons).
- The same wording as your landing page, so people don't arrive and wonder where the deal went.
- If the ad has speech, burn in captions with Subtitles on Edit Video (3 credits per render) so it works with sound off.
- Logo, colors and an end card: save them once in Brand Kit and apply them to any finished clip (2 credits per render).
What a small Black Friday set costs
Example: three products, two template formats each (Black Friday Drop at 8 credits and Price Drop Pop at 3), plus one retry per product at 3 credits:
- 3 × (8 + 3) = 33 credits, plus 9 for retries = 42 credits.
That fits in the 70-credit Plus pack ($19). Packs are one-time purchases with no subscription, credits never expire, and failed generations are refunded automatically (pricing). New verified accounts get 4 free credits, enough to test one Hailuo or VEO 3.1 Lite clip on your hardest product photo first.
Rules that matter more during a sale
- Real reference prices. If you show "was $80, now $49," $80 should be a price you actually charged. The FTC's Guides Against Deceptive Pricing cover former-price comparisons; local rules vary, so check yours.
- No invented testimonials. An AI-generated person saying "I've used this for a year" is not a review. Keep generated presenters to the offer and product facts. The FTC's rule on fake reviews and testimonials applies to AI-generated ones too.
- Show the real product. The clip must not change what the customer receives: color, size, what's in the box. Compare each clip with the photo before you post.
- Label AI content where the platform asks. TikTok requires a label on realistic AI-generated content (TikTok Support), and Meta has its own AI disclosure.
- Shipping cut-offs. If you push gifts after Cyber Monday, say the order-by date for delivery before the holidays, and keep it accurate.
Frequently asked questions
When is Black Friday 2026? Friday, November 27, 2026. Thanksgiving is Thursday, November 26, Small Business Saturday is November 28 and Cyber Monday is November 30.
How early should I make Black Friday video ads? Have finished clips by mid-November and upload ads by about November 20. That leaves time for ad review, a rejected ad and a few days of testing before the sale starts.
Can AI make a Black Friday ad from just a product photo? Yes. Image-to-video and one-photo templates animate your product photo into a short clip. Add the offer, price and dates yourself in an editor, because AI-generated text and numbers are unreliable.
What length should a Black Friday video ad be? Most AI clips are 5–8 seconds, which suits a single offer. Put the offer in the first 3 seconds; for a longer ad, join two or three clips in your editor.
Should I use a person or just the product? Test both. Product-only clips are cheaper and avoid any impression of a fake review; a talking hook can stop the scroll, but it should talk about the offer, not claim personal experience.
Can Viralance post the ads for me? No. Download the clips and upload them in TikTok Ads Manager, Meta Ads Manager or your own accounts.
